EXOS Manager of Performance Physical Therapy in Canton, Georgia

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Physical Therapy Clinic Manager to join our team! As our new Physical Therapy Clinic Manager you will:

  • Promote open communication with employees

  • Follows procedures for new employees including, Human Resources and training requirements

  • Monitors and plays an active role in the department’s scheduling to ensure the facility is productive and staff is utilized to be the best of their ability

  • Provides leadership by making decisions, problem-solving, and developing department procedures

  • Approve leave and overtime; complete or review and sign off on timecards

  • Establish and manage the budget, approve expenditures, initiate and sign appropriate paperwork Demonstrate complete competence in oral and written communication while maintaining accurate departmental records

  • Demonstrates ability to conduct appropriate comprehensive evaluations for patients who may be experiencing a variety of diagnoses while utilizing appropriate formal and informal assessment tools

  • Designs a schedule that allows completion of all work activities, including paperwork, in an efficient and effective manner

  • Collaborates with other professionals to serve the needs of the patient by actively listening, responding professionally to feedback, and demonstrating collaborative therapy and co-treatment

  • Earn continuing education of professional development units sufficient to meet requirements for state licensure requirements and certification maintenance

  • Perform other duties as assigned

    An Ideal Candidate Would Have:

  • Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy School/Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy Familiarity with all up-to-date techniques and treatments covering the entire field of Physical Therapy (Internal medicine, orthopedics, rehabilitation, pediatrics, geriatrics)

  • A license to practice Physical Therapy by the State Board of Physical Therapy Association Skills and Core Competencies

  • The ability to read and record observations and plans legibly, efficiently, and accurately in documents such as the patient's chart, which may be written or electronic

  • A demonstrable willingness to learn and abide by professional standards of practice

    Physical Requirements:

  • Possess the emotional stability to function effectively under stress and to adapt to an environment that may change rapidly without warning and/or in unpredictable ways

  • Maintain and assume a variety of positions including, frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, reaching forward and overhead, turning, and movement of the trunk and neck in all directions

  • Perform manual material handling and manipulation of various sizes and weights including, lifting and transferring patients, guarding and balancing patients on level/uneven surfaces/ramps/stairs, pushing and pulling to provide resistance and to assist in maneuvering patients

  • Safely lift up to 50 pounds independently

  • Safely lift up to 200 pounds with assistance

  • Safely push and pull up to 200 pounds

  • Minimal to daily travel time may be required
