Job Summary: The Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer will be responsible for leading engaging group fitness classes and providing personalized training sessions to clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fitness, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to helping others achieve their health and wellness goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Group Fitness Instructor:
Lead and instruct group fitness classes (e.g., aerobics, strength training, yoga, Pilates, cycling) for various skill levels.
Develop and implement class routines and exercises that are safe, effective, and tailored to the needs of the participants.
Ensure a motivating and inclusive environment where all participants feel supported.
Monitor and provide feedback to participants to help them achieve their fitness goals.
Stay updated on current fitness trends and incorporate new techniques as appropriate.
Personal Trainer:
Conduct individual fitness assessments to determine clients’ current fitness levels and goals.
Design personalized training programs that address clients’ specific needs and objectives.
Provide one-on-one training sessions, demonstrating exercises and ensuring correct form and technique.
Track and evaluate clients’ progress, making adjustments to programs as needed.
Offer guidance on nutrition and lifestyle habits to support overall wellness.
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, fostering a supportive and motivating atmosphere.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
Certified Group Fitness Instructor (e.g., AFAA , ACE , or similar certification).
Certified Personal Trainer (e.g., NASM , ACSM , or similar certification).
Minimum of 1 year of experience in group fitness instruction or personal training.
Strong knowledge of exercise techniques, anatomy, and injury prevention.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire individuals and groups.
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lead physical activities and demonstrate exercises.
Capable of lifting and moving fitness equipment as necessary.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical activities as part of job duties.
Preferred Qualifications
Salary $50.00/hr.
