Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Canton, Ohio

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in Canton, Ohio. This role is in the accounting industry and will be based at our workplace. We are seeking a meticulous and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain our financial records, process transactions, handle customer inquiries and monitor customer account details.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain all transactional documentation systematically including invoices, bills, cash receipts, etc.

• Process vendor invoices, reconcile vendor statements, prepare payment batches, and manage inquiries regarding payments.

• Generate and submit customer invoices, process cash receipts, assist in collection activities, and handle customer inquiries about invoices.

• Process credit card payments and ensure receipts and transactions are reconciled accurately.

• Review and verify accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required.

• Research and solve payment discrepancies.

• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, or other irregularities.

• Generate aging reports, and summarize receivables and payables in accordance with the company’s policy.

• Perform general bookkeeping and organize financial forms, including VAT forms, business rates, and expense forms.

• Assist in month-end closing and prepare monthly account reconciliation. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Billing processes

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Capable of handling Invoice Processing efficiently

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle software

• Familiarity with QuickBooks software

• Experience with SAP software

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Understanding of financial regulations and legislation

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• Previous experience in an accounting role is beneficial

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions

• Willingness to continuously improve and update knowledge and skills.
