Electrical Engineer needed for immediate direct hire role in the Canton, OH area to design custom switchgear! This person will have at least 5+ years experience working with custom designed low and medium voltage switchgear. Along with your BSEE, this person will have proven knowledge with National Electrical Code (NEC), Utility Electric Service Requirements (ESR), UL and ANSI.

The right professional will create/revise electrical drawing packages using AutoCAD, bill of materials for key projects,will perform as well as assist in design reviews, production releases and support to ensure compliance per customer and industry specifications. Must have excellent communication and leadership skills as this person will be working with several levels of internal and external stakeholders.

responsibilities:

• Develop electrical drawings per industry standards and specifications for key assigned projects, including revision, resubmittal and release of approved drawings and bill of materials to production.

• Assist in project assignments and design support for engineering personnel and designers including reviews, comments and approval of customer submittal packages

• Lead electrical engineering production support efforts during wiring/assembly processes and work with QC on engineering changes and non-conformances to document and implement corrective actions.

• Demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to the Company Quality Management System by participating in the evaluation of the effectiveness of engineering processes and procedures

Qualifications

• BSEE and 5+ years related experience with MV Switchgear (5kV to 38kV) design and LV Switchgear/Switchboard (240V to 600V) design

• AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software experience

• Power distribution center (E-House) design, electrical closure design, cabinet design,etc highly preferred

• Specialized knowledge with National Electrical Code (NEC), Utility Electric Service Requirements (ESR), ANSI

• Able to clearly communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of management.

• Demonstrated time management skills as well as great written and spoken english
