Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing machine repair, facilities maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance in a plastic extrusion environment.

Shift:

• 2nd Shift - 3:00pm - 11:00pm

• 3rd shift - 12:00am - 8:30am

Responsibilities:

• Perform machine repair, facilities maintenance, and electrical troubleshooting.

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install machinery and equipment, including plastic extrusion machinery.

• Work with 480v, single and three phase power, VFDs, sensors, switches, AC/DC motors, and relays.

• Complete project tasks and communicate status to ensure seamless transition between shifts.

• Listen and identify faulty parts or issues with machinery and troubleshoot effectively.

• Apply knowledge of OHMS Law, current and voltage, series parallel circuits, contactors, fuses, and DC/AC drives.

• Adapt to learning on the fly due to limited schematics availability.

Essential Skills

• Previous industrial maintenance experience.

• Experience working with industrial electricity, including 480v, single and three phase power.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to develop positive working relationships.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with plastic extrusion.

• Knowledge of PMs and corrective maintenance.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting, pneumatics, hydraulics, injection molding, extrusion, blueprint reading, PLC troubleshooting, schematics, service, preventive maintenance, three phase power, maintenance repair, industrial welding, and repair.

Work Environment

You will work 40-45 hours per week in a plastic extrusion environment, which can be mildly dirty at times. However, we maintain a clean facility with blending separated from the main operation. Our team consists of 6 professional and well-spoken technicians, and we prioritize a good cultural fit. Be prepared for an all-hands-on-deck approach when equipment is down. The facility spans 160,000 sq. ft. with a total of 60 employees. Dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, and steel toe boots.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $62400.00
