Goodwill of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohi Vice President of Donated Goods Retail in Canton, Ohio

This role will provide leadership, strategic direction, and oversight for the retail operations department, including warehousing and logistics. You will work in concert with other Leadership Team members to develop and guide strategic direction, develop tactical plans, and assist in the agency's leadership.

As a member of the Leadership Team, you will participate in meetings of the Board of Directors and various Board Committees. You will help develop, mentor, and coach direct and indirect reports in retail. You will also be responsible for operating effectively across functional boundaries while building and sustaining external and internal relationships.

    Requirements:

  • At least ten years of progressive experience in thrift retail, manufacturing, or retail sales plus five years of supervisory experience is required. Thrift retail experience with Goodwill or other thrift retailers is preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, manufacturing, retail management, or related field. Experience in thrift retail may be considered in lieu of education.

  • Must maintain a valid driver's license, and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's insurance provider. Must have valid automotive insurance.

  • Ability to effectively manage activities in geographically dispersed locations.

  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively to the changing landscape within thrift retail.

  • Oral communication skills to develop policies/programs or supervise the work of others.

  • Apply advanced mathematics concepts and statistics to work with complex financial and statistical information.

  • Define and analyze data and draw valid conclusions. Use key donated goods retail metrics to measure the effectiveness of retail operations.

  • Plan and direct the work of others.

  • Exhibit concern for people in an effective way. Influence people's opinions, attitudes, and judgments positively.
