SUMMARY:

Perform Floor Technician duties at Port Canaveral. Reports to the site leadership team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Six months experience with floor care work.
• Employer conductsa background screening for access to the work areas.
• Employer conductsa pre-employment drug test.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two years' experience with floor care work preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform specified floor custodial work according to time schedules which may include:
  • mopping floors
  • polishing, stripping, and waxing floors
  • shampooing carpets
• May be required to move furniture when performing floor custodial work.
• Maintain supplies and equipment under established procedures.
• Perform other specified floor custodial tasks as requested.

SAFETY and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

• Tasks are regularly performed in both climate-controlled areas and areas that have no air conditioning or heat with possible exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).
• Will need to use any personal protective (safety) equipment as designated properly and consistently.
• Involves exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning solutions and bio-waste hazards).
• Required inoculations and training provided by the company.
• Some tasks may be performed independently with little supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require the following: repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving up to 40 pounds regularly.These requirements can be met with or without reasonable accommodations.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:

Must be eligible to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) badge which requires US Citizenship or non-US Citizen that has the necessary level of work authorization.

SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Some tasks require manual dexterity, In addition to visual and hearing acuity.

Availability:Full time: Hours vary. Must include flexibility to work weekends and holidays to fulfill contract needs.

Pay:$16.50/Hour
