SAIC Test Engineer in CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida
Description
SAIC seeks an experienced and energetic Test Engineer to directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission. The overarching purpose of the program is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future. This position is in Cape Canaveral, FL and does require you to be on-site a few days a week.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the software development teams focused on DevSecOps solutions.
Support development of innovative Test Automation solutions.
Participate, prepare, and execute comprehensive subsystem and enterprise-level test plans and procedures.
Support system/element level test planning and test readiness reviews.
Document test requirements and verification methodologies in the requirements management system.
Support the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software/hardware system integration testing.
Identify project technical risk analysis mitigation and opportunities.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least nine (9) years or more of experience; master’s degree and seven (7) years or more of experience, or PHD and four (4) years or more of experience.
Required Experience:
Familiarity or experience with Agile software development methodologies, i.e., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe.
Experience interfacing with and presenting to government customers.
Experience with government / similar policies, regulations, standards, and procedures.
Experience in using a requirements management tool, such as DOORS.
Experience in using a discrepancy management tool, such as Jira.
Familiarity or experience with continuous integration and deployment environments and tools such as Bamboo.
Experience with version control tools such as Bitbucket.
Experience with *ix operating systems.
Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain.
