Ashley Furniture Home Store General Sales Manager in Carle Place, New York

Summary The General Sales Manager (GSM) will be responsible for overseeing the entire sales operation within their assigned location/region. This role includes developing and implementing sales strategies, managing the sales force, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets and overall profitability. The GSM is a key leader in the store, driving performance through effective management, strategic planning, and coordination with other departments. The GSM will be responsible for hiring, developing and performance managing a sales force that is focused on the guest experience, driving sales to deliver their budget and increasing repeat business. By focusing on their team members Why, fostering positive belief systems, and coaching on process behaviors, the leader will achieve their stores KPIs and help each team member do the same. The General Sales Manager must maintain laser focus by being in Position to Impact (P2I) on the sales floor. Essential Functions Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company sales goals and profitability. Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement. Set sales targets and performance goals for the sales team. Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to sales managers and associates. Lead the team by focusing on FDEs 7 critical sales leadership processes: oManage and Monitor Staffing oOnboard New Team Members oEngage, Develop and Performance Manage Team Members oManage and Execute FDEs Proven Sales Process oManage Prospecting and Follow Up oManage Quality and Compliance oPosition to Impact Demonstrate mastery of FDEs Leadership Toolkit. Attend training sessions such as Managers Meetings, Product and Vendor Training, Leadership Training and Managers Essentials to improve abilities as required. Coach and develop other leaders such as MITs, Sales Managers, Assistant Selling Managers and Trusted Advisors. Set the tone for the day by leading and participating in Peak State huddles and scrimmages. Attend and facilitate the Perfect Store Visit meeting weekly. Make certain the showroom floor is always guest ready. Be in Position to Impact, Assign Team Opportunities (T/Os), and assist overflow guests to train team members and keep personal sales process skills sharp.

Education & Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED. Associate or bachelors degree preferred. Must demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment that reflects the business needs of the company.

Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point), and the ability to easily learn Ashleys internal computer systems Ability to manage a store with traffic of 300-400 and a STT of 7.5-10
