Actalent Electrical Engineer in Carlsbad, California

Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description

Join a team working on cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) products, focusing on power measurement and automation systems. Your role will involve setting up data acquisition systems (DAQs), designing automation processes, and analyzing power measurement results. Responsibilities

  • Configure and operate DAQs and power measurement equipment.

  • Develop automation frameworks for testing.

  • Define and document test cases.

  • Execute power measurement tests and troubleshoot issues.

  • Analyze test results for product optimization.

  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams.

  • Ensure accurate calibration and maintenance of test systems.

  • Prepare reports and documentation.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in Electronics/Electrical Engineering.

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

  • Experience with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, DAQs.

  • Automation scripting (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB).

  • Data analysis tools (MATLAB, NumPy).

  • Hardware debugging.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with communication protocols (USB, I2C, SPI, UART).

  • Experience with embedded systems.

  • Knowledge of Android systems (optional).

  • Experience with version control (Git).

  • Experience with AR systems (optional).

  • Team player, proactive, flexible, willing to learn.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Work Environment

You will be working onsite full-time at the client's site in the Sorrento Valley area. The office features a great culture, with snacks and drinks provided for employees. The schedule is semi-flexible, allowing you to arrive between 7am and 9am and work an 8-hour day. The project involves a brand new, confidential wearable AR product.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $180000.00
