What it's like to be a Junior Estimator at RQ Construction

To thrive as a Full-Time Junior Estimator at RQ Construction, LLC, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field is the minimum formal education required for this position. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying.
  • One year of experience (or equivalent) in architectural/engineering/construction estimating and related functions, including planning, techniques, and contracting required.
  • Conceptual and Hard-Bid estimating experience preferred.
  • Computer literacy (ex. Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.) required.
  • Specific software literacy (ex. On-Screen Take-Off, Adobe Reader) preferred.
  • Previous work experience in the construction design-build industry, including work with contractors and subcontractors in public markets (ex. DoD, education) is preferred.

Strong analytical skills, a desire to learn, and a team-oriented attitude will be key to your success in this role.
