Job Description

The Production Technician will be working in the Production operations area, in a team environment, with other technicians and intra-department personnel to configure, test, manufacture, repair and continuously improve the products that we sell and support.

  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot computers and Digital Radiography, Laser, X-Ray, Ultrasound and Network related products.

  • Interpret and apply information from technical manuals; communicate on technical issues with individuals with varying degrees of product familiarity. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems on RMAs and identify, research and resolve technical problems

  • Offer solutions and advice on field problems for customer service staff and peers.

  • Assist, troubleshoot and repair sales department and tradeshow equipment.

  • Develop and follow all administrative procedures as required for manufacturing and repair processes.

  • Process RTV requests for equipment returning to vendor for repair or further evaluation and communicate with vendors on a technical level.

  • Knowledge in system configuration for network communication.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of manufactured product (e.g. Production logs, End of Line Certificates).

Work experience requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of equivalent experience.

  • Strong teamwork capabilities including the ability to effectively work with leadership, peers and other internal and external individuals through projects, making sure project deadlines are met and projects enhance the goals and strategic direction of the company.

  • Ability to effectively work with executive leaders, team leads, and peers through projects, making sure project deadlines are met.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Must work well independently and work in a matrix based organization with minimal direction.

  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and be able to adapt to changes in priority.

Technical Experience

  • Experience with installing, maintaining, and repairing hardware and software for business computers and related equipment.

  • Must be familiar with manufacturing pressures and work environments and must be able to communicate effectively, work cross-functionally and assist others as required.

  • Have experience with inputting, accessing, analyzing and integrating data using a computer.

Education requirements

  • High school diploma required.

  • AA/AS in electronics or 2-5 years experience in manufacturing environment.

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to bend, stoop and lift up to 50lbs.

The Target Pay Range for this position is $26.00 hourly. At Mars, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.
