Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Digital Market Development to lead our Molecular Biology business unit's digital marketing efforts. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to drive the execution of marketing plans at a global level and work alongside cross-functional partners to achieve our company goals and strategies.

What you will do:

Digital Strategy Development: Lead the strategic design, planning, development, implementation, and management of global digital marketing initiatives for Molecular Biology. Ensure cross-functional alignment globally and regionally for global business unit campaigns.

Execution Oversight: Drive the execution of digital marketing plans, ensuring alignment with business unit objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints. Monitor and optimize campaigns to enhance value and achieve key performance indicators.

Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to a team of digital marketing strategists and analysts. Champion a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the team.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with senior leaders and global marketing partners to ensure alignment of digital marketing efforts with overall business goals and strategies. Provide expertise, representation, and collaboration for digital marketing within the Molecular Biology business unit.

Partner Engagement: Work closely with partners in digital marketing to leverage standard methodologies, apply data-driven recommendations, and capitalize on shared resources to drive the success of digital marketing initiatives.

Data Analysis and Insights: Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making, optimize campaigns, and find opportunities for continuous improvement. Regularly report on critical business and performance indicators to partners.

Market Research and Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats. Use market research findings to inform strategy development and tactical execution.

How will you get there:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent.

  • 8+ years of experience leading strategy and execution in digital marketing, brand, and communications strategy.

  • Demonstrated ability in leading successful teams.

  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, tools, and techniques, including but not limited to SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in marketing or related field.

  • Experience in the life sciences industry, specifically in molecular biology.

  • Experience in global digital marketing strategy development and execution.

  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00–$150,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
