A national service provider located in Carmel has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a full-time, 5 month contract opportunity. The A/P Specialist will work alongside a team, helping support the organization through a system implementation. This role requires the individual to work in the Carmel office on Wednesdays, while working remote the remainder of the week.

Position Summary:

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices. You will be responsible for verifying, coding, and processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate authorization.

• Code invoices to the correct general ledger accounts.

• Process vendor payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Reconcile vendor accounts monthly and resolve any discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate vendor records and files.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

• Assist with other accounting tasks as needed.

  Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable including clearing exceptions

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
