As a Business Advisor , on our ePMO team will provide you with an opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization in areas of MISO’s overall portfolio of project investment analysis, support, and Corporate Policy adherence. This role will utilize proper tools and processes to perform data and analytics as well as fulfill ad hoc requests. Build and maintain working relationships with team members, key stakeholders (strategy, portfolio, business) and other departments involved across the portfolio. Integrity, transparency and always keeping MISO and its stakeholders’ best interest in mind are key criteria for the position.

In one year as a Business Advisor you will know you were successful if you...

• Gained full knowledge of MISO's internal policies and procedures related to project governance.

• Utilized data and analytics expertise to effectively evaluate, identify effective recommendations and produce the requested analytical outputs that enable decision making and fulfill requested scope.

• Identified reporting opportunities leveraging system of records and automation to consolidate and transform data into reportable items.

• Identified efficiency and optimization recommendations, leverage technology (automation), collaborated with stakeholders to implement solutions which improve processes, address ongoing challenges, etc.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related field, required.

  • Ten years of relevant work experience is required.

  • Five years of governance, portfolio, program and project management experience is required.

  • Proficiency with Enterprise software and tools related to Project Portfolio Management (Changepoint, ServiceNow, etc.) is required.

  • Budgeting and forecasting experience are required.

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, accountability and transparency are a must in the position.

  • Previous energy industry experience, preferred

What we prefer:

  • PMI Certification (PMP) is preferred.

  • Three years of capacity planning and demand management experience is preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge & experiences with PMI’s Standards & Frameworks (PMBOK, Project Estimating, Scheduling & Risk Mgmt) is preferred.

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Scaled Agile SAFe Practitioner is preferred.

  • Proficiency with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc. is preferred
