MISO Energy Technical Trainer in Carmel, Indiana

Description

Join MISO’s Technical Development Team, where we empower employees and stakeholders through advanced training methods to ensure professional growth and business success. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering training programs using classroom, virtual, and simulation-based methods. As a key player, you will partner with business leaders, instructional designers, and simulation engineers to design strategies for Initial Operator Qualification Training.

In one year as a Technical Talent Development Partner (Technical Trainer) , you will know you were successful if:

  • Developed and delivered training programs for technical operators and business acumen needs.

  • Facilitated training through multiple formats (classroom, virtual, simulation).

  • Collaborated with Learning Management System administrators to create learning paths.

  • Leveraged ADDIE and best practices for instructional design and training material development.

  • Ensured compliance and contribute to process improvements within the training department.

  • Supported internal and external clients by adhering to departmental policies and regulations.

We are looking for energetic and dedicated employees who have:

  • Experience in simulation-based training.

  • NERC Certification preferred.

  • Ability to deliver training using GE DTS or similar energy management simulation technology

  • Familiarity with ADDIE learning model and compliance-driven training.

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.

  • 4-8 years: adult learning/training

  • 2-5 years: control room experience
