Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both milling machines and lathes to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
Operate milling machines and lathes to manufacture parts according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs.
Set up and adjust machine tools and equipment for production runs.
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as necessary.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical certification or apprenticeship in machining.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a machinist, with expertise in operating mills and lathes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with CNC machines.
Troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment
The work environment is a machine shop, which is indoors but can be loud. Safety protocols must be adhered to at all times.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00
