Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Advanced Systems Architecture Group and Kilovac Products Design Center conceive original ideas for new products, and work directly with customers to introduce them into practice.

An R&D/Product Development Engineer II is needed to contribute to various aspects of product development as a member of the Advanced Systems Architecture Group. This will complement the existing resources being used to develop mechanical and electrical designs, including but not limited to Electromechanical and Solid-State Power system switching components and Power Distribution Systems.

The Kilovac Products design center develops various High Voltage DC power switching devices and associated power distribution equipment for a wide variety of Military and Commercial applications. As Part of the Advanced Systems Architecture Group The candidate will primarily perform Mechanical and Electrical Engineering tasks under the supervision of the Sr. Principal Development Engineer but may also be required to collaborate on a wider range of tasks, including, but not limited to, evaluate equipment and development, and electrical circuit design and circuit layout. The successful candidate should be able take on a wide range of tasks such as mechanical design, PCBA layout, and basic electrical and mechanical testing.

This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Experience or exposure with software such as AutoCAD, Space Claim, Creo, Altium and LabVIEW desirable.

• Knowledge of typicalconsecutive interface communication protocols. Experience using ANSI C, C++ highly desirable.

• Ability to maintain focus and complete tasks on time.

• Experience with ERP software; SAP experience a plus

• Good communication and presentation skills required.

What your background should look like:

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics, 3-5 years’ experience related to primary job function; significant experience in lieu of Degree will be considered.

• Travel: Less than 10%.

• Work schedule: Candidate is expected to perform job duties during a typical 40-hour work week - on site 5 days/week at the TE Carpinteria, CA facility

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience:$93,104 - $139,656 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
