Pay Range: $18 - $20

2nd Shift - M-F, 200pm - 11pm

3rd Shift - M-F, 1100pm - 700am

All work is On-site only

Machine Operator Trainee - at this level is to learn and train on the basic understandings of all Machining specific operations. Operators have the basic level ability to set-up and operate a variety of CNC and Manual Machines to produce precision parts with immediate supervision by a certified machine operator (level II or above). Follow established standard work under immediate supervision in efforts to obtain certification within 120 days. Operator follows and complies with established standard work practices under immediate supervision. The operator will typically refer to problems or deviations to more experienced operators including Lead Technicians, Supervisors or Engineers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Learn how to set up and operate precision manual and/or computerized machining centers according to standard work.

• Learn how to adjust machine feed/spindle speeds and the changing of tooling and

cutters per machining.

• Learn how to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

• Understand and follow quality testing techniques. Learn how to inspect product using precision gauges, measuring instruments and equipment.

• Demonstrate proficiency in Manufacturing Documentation and Labor Transactions.

• Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.

• Actively participates in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety related activities.

Qualifications / Experience Needed:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required Preferred Qualifications:

• Manufacturing background

• Manual dexterity to perform tasks associated with machine operations

• Ability to learn how to read and understand prints.

• Computer experience (e-mail, print documents, internet) and ability to learn how to operate a computer to access prints and/or specified work instructions

• Basic shop math including knowledge of (GD&T) Geometric Tolerances

• Basic knowledge with identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems

• Ability to learn basics of the position within first 3 months of employment

• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management
