Job Summary/Objective:

The Process Engineer III is responsible for the development, standardization and improvement of processes, systems, and equipment within the facility. The Process Engineer’s focus is on the stability, reliability and efficiency of the facility’s manufacturing process. This will be accomplished through development of standard processes and procedures, monitoring of real time manufacturing parameters, on-time and full completion of continuous improvement projects and achieving goals in areas that include culture of zero, material usage, scrap, OEE, and cost out. The Process Engineer III will deploy, teach, and implement various improvements to achieve goals and objectives while working with cross functional teams within the manufacturing site as well as across the vertical and organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes and drive strategies to close performance gaps in safety, quality, delivery/throughput, and cost.

• Lead cross-functional teams in process improvement projects and Kaizens, applying process improvement tools including statistical process control, process mapping, control charts, design of experiments, Six Sigma and Lean methodologies, and process capability studies.

• Own change management and validation processes for designated processes. Update process control strategies and operating procedures as changes and improvements occur.

• Leads process design and validation activities for the launch of new products and production equipment, applying the APQP process and related tools.

• Provides subject matter leadership in the selection, introduction and integration of appropriate process control and automation technologies, based on a thorough understanding of the business and process needs and goals.

• Works with cross-functional teams to deploy and utilize Connected Enterprise for data collection, reporting, and improvement.

• Responsible for developing a management system for processes that meet quality requirements for customers, regulatory bodies, as well as internal requirements.

• Works on a cross-functional team to develop a capital equipment roadmap, as well as assisting with the financial justification of these capital projects.

• Works with a cross-functional team to create and maintain process documentation including, but not limited to, Standard Operating Procedures, Troubleshooting Guides, and other necessary material for employee training purposes.

• Develop and conduct training for new and existing employees to increase organizational effectiveness.
