Robert Half Tax Manager - Public in Carrollton, Texas

Description We are seeking a Tax Manager - Public to join our team in Carrollton, Texas. In this role, you will be expected to provide technical oversight, manage a broad client base, and supervise staff. This role also requires the preparation of complex tax returns for clients and active engagement in sustaining and growing a successful practice of high-net-worth clients.

Responsibilities:

• Develop long-term relationships with clients and staff through ongoing communication and exceptional service and leadership

• Ensure the accurate preparation and staff review of all levels of Federal and State tax returns, including complex reporting

• Maintain strong knowledge of tax reporting rules and regulations

• Assist with the preparation and review of payroll tax returns, including 941, 940, SUTA, FUTA, W2, 1099

• Take responsibility for tax planning for individual and corporate clients

• Represent clients with IRS, state or other audits

• Correspond with IRS for resolution of tax issues

• Exhibit the ability to research and obtain resolution for unfamiliar tax matters

• Assist with management responsibilities such as training, supervision, mentoring of staff, helping staff reach potential of their abilities

• Review of staff work product

• Prioritize projects and manage staff assignments/reassignments based on workload

• Set and achieve goals

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and CCH ProSystem Fx

• Experience in Accounting Functions and Annual Income Tax Provision

• Knowledge of Compliance, Entity Formation, Federal Tax Return, and Multi-state Tax Returns

• Understanding of Foreign Tax and Form 1099. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tax Manager in a public setting

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is a must

• Experience with CCH ProSystem Fx is required

• Should possess strong knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Must be able to handle Annual Income Tax Provision

• Should have a strong understanding of Compliance procedures

• Experience in Entity Formation is essential

• Must be adept at preparing Federal Tax Returns

• Experience in preparing Multi-state Tax Returns is necessary

• Knowledge of Foreign Tax procedures and regulations is required

• Should be able to handle Form 1099 related tasks efficiently.
