We are looking for an experience Welding Technician with mig, tig and stick experience. This is a permanment position that is 1st shift 6a-430p Mon-Fri with OT on the weekends when needed. Responsibilities

Position Summary: The R&D Welding Technician/Lab Technician will be responsible for welding a variety of materials and processes including MIG, TIG, SMARC, or brazing. Core responsibilities are to fabricate or repair products such as first article designs, machine parts, plant equipment, jigs, and fixtures. Secondary responsibilities will be to maintain the R&D Lab and monitor testing under engineering supervision.

Description of Essential Job Functions: • Weld metal parts together using both gas welding or brazing and any combination of arc welding processes. • Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding. • Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes, and increase size of metal parts. • Position and clamp together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding. • Assist in R&D testing by setting up tests and/or monitoring and recording test data.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 10 hours at one time

• working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week

• working weekends

Skills
