As an Associate General Counsel - Regulatory and Compliance, you will have the opportunity to work with other attorneys, executives, and employees at all levels. The team you will be working with is collaborative and team-oriented, and values how vital this role is to the success of the company. The position would be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement; however, there is a strong preference for candidates within two to three hours' drive of the corporate headquarters in Carthage, MO.

So, what will you be doing as an Associate General Counsel - Regulatory and Compliance?

• Provide overall strategy, coordination, and execution over regulatory and compliance-related legal matters
• Provide accurate, relevant, and timely legal advice and guidance to management and various business units on a wide range of legal topics affecting the companys legal and regulatory compliance, including, ethics and compliance matters, product regulatory compliance matters, and sustainability matters, among others
• Monitor developments in relevant laws and regulations, identify potential impacts on the company and its business units, and ensure the company understands and complies with such developments
• Manage external relationships with regulators, auditors, lawyers, consultants, and other external parties on regulatory and compliance matters, and represent the company in compliance-related inquiries, audits, inspections, and investigations
• Oversee regulatory research and analysis in response to compliance inquiries and review responses to customers concerning the companys compliance with various laws and regulations
• Identify and assess legal and regulatory compliance risks and opportunities facing the company, providing legal advice to ensure they are properly addressed, and implementing appropriate controls and mitigation measures
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations globally related to regulated products
• Provide expert legal advice and guidance on, and draft, interpret, and update company policies, codes, and procedures

To Be Successful In This Role, Youll Need

• 10+ years of relevant legal experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in-house at a public company or a large law firm.

``` - Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school - Strong product regulatory or compliance background preferred - Active bar member in good standing - Proven experience as a legal counsel to business clients - High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism, and the ability to uphold and promote the ethics and compliance culture and values of the organization
