MetLife Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst in Cary, North Carolina

Job Location: Hybrid - M-T-TH - Cary NC

The Opportunity

The Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst will be a member of MetLife’s Cyber Threat Intelligence team. As an experienced CTI team member, their primary responsibility will be to source, analyze, disseminate, and apply relevant threat intelligence to safeguard the company from potential threats. This technical role requires analytical problem-solving skills and a continuous learning mindset to execute the Cyber threat intelligence mission. The CTI Analyst will be an expert in the field and a crucial member of the organization, empowered to break down silos and drive the team's outputs to find unique ways to protect security systems and data. This position will work closely with the Cybersecurity organization including the Incident Response and Detection Engineering teams.

How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

· Collect intelligence and collaborate with security teams to assess critical threats to MetLife's data and networks.

· Ensure MetLife comprehends the attackers, attack motives, and methods.

· Leverages and works to deepen existing Intelligence unit relationships with key external agencies, industry groups, private-public partnerships, and other multinationals.

· Collaborate with other security teams to evaluate, deploy, refine, and optimize defensive capabilities based on credible intelligence.

· Develop and refine the tools, processes, and procedures for collecting, monitoring, and reporting key performance indicators and program health metrics.

· Identify opportunities to enhance cyber defense and threat intelligence capabilities and services.

· Process intelligence into critical cybersecurity control enhancement requirements.

· Proactively validate how MetLife prevention, detection, and response capabilities will perform against known adversaries.

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience required.

· Demonstrated technical proficiencies in Networking, Operating Systems, Programming/Scripting, and cybersecurity issues.

· Ability to communicate concepts and issues through spoken, written, and/or visual means.

· Demonstrated ability to effectively network, influence peers and build strong relationships through diplomacy and technical expertise.

· 3 -5 years hands-on technical cybersecurity experience with an emphasis on security operations, incident response, cyber threat intelligence, penetration testing or security engineering

· Deep understanding of industry frameworks and concepts such as MITRE ATT&CK/D3FEND/Engage, Cyber Kill Chain, Pyramid of Pain and Diamond Model

What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)

· Bachelor’s Degree

· CISSP or SANS Certifications such as GCTI, GCIH, GPEN, GCFA, CGNA, GREM or GSE

· Experience in Financial Services, Government Cyber, or Managed Security Service
