MetLife Lead Software Development Engineer in Cary, North Carolina

Duties: Review solution design covering performance optimization, monitoring, IT risk security and vulnerability mitigation across different components. Collaborate with a diverse team of technical product owners, technology leaders, infrastructure engineers, functional analysts and software engineers to deliver to internal and external business initiatives. Resolve escalated issues in a complex environment and account for cloud migration and application modernization and simplification. Enhance developer experience, solution engineering, technical blueprints and cloud technologies.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (willing to accept foreign education equivalent, including three-year degree) plus four (4) years of experience performing mobile application development within the insurance industry. Specific skills/other requirements: Providing content and review documentation using Microsoft Azure DevOps, Azure PaaS with component AKS, Azure Functions, App Services, CosmosDB SQL API, Cosmos DB Mongo APIs, Event Grid, Azure Push Notification Hub. Key Vault or Storage, Appinsight, Docker Monitoring and Alerting (4 years); building applications using NodeJS, Java, ReactJS, TypeScript, Redux, AngularJs, Git, .NET, Linux, SQL and DB2 (4 years); designing and developing RESTful APIs using .NET and Spring Boot (4 years); developing and publishing applications for iOS or Android using hybrid mobile app technologies, including Cordova, Ionic, or Capacitor using Objective-C/Swift and Java (4 years); and reviewing solution design covering performance optimization, monitoring, IT risk security, and vulnerability mitigation across different components (4 years). Hybrid - 3 days in office/2 days remote.
