Who we are looking for

Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Copywriter/Editor to craft clear, accurate, and compelling content for our marketing and educational materials aimed at healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of medical and scientific concepts, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to distill complex information into accessible language for a professional audience. This role also involves managing our references and product claims to ensure consistency and accuracy across all marketing and educational assets.

This will be a hybrid work model with 3 days work from our Cary, NC office.

Main Responsibilities

  • Content Development: Create high-quality copy and manuscripts for marketing and educational materials that effectively communicate our products' benefits and applications to healthcare professionals.

  • Translation of Complex Information: Simplify complex medical jargon into clear, concise language suitable for healthcare professionals.

  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all content adheres to industry regulations, ethical standards, and legal requirements.

  • Editorial Oversight: Serve as the primary editor for third-party generated content, ensuring consistency and quality.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with brand managers and creative designers to produce:

  • Marketing collateral (e.g., sales aids, leave-behinds, in-service materials) for hospital-based field teams.

  • Digital content for websites, email campaigns, and professional social media platforms.

  • Content Management: Oversee the marketing copy library, including:

  • Management of each brand's references and claims libraries to ensure consistency and accuracy.

  • Conduct thorough research to verify the accuracy and credibility of all new content, claims, and references.

  • Utilize content management systems to maintain and update content, ensuring compliance and currency.

  • Establish and manage business rules for modular content workflows.

Experience Required

Experience Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in medical and/or technical writing, with a proven track record of managing copy/content libraries.

  • Strong ability to quickly learn and understand new medical and scientific concepts.

  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to create engaging and persuasive content.

  • Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance within predefined standards. Experience with content authoring in a regulated environment is highly desirable.

  • Proven ability to simplify complex information for a professional audience.

Experience Preferred:

  • Significant experience in the healthcare/biotech industries.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and SEO best practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency with content management systems, particularly Veeva PromoMats.

Education

Bachelor's degree in life sciences, medicine, communications, technical writing, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., PhD, MS) are highly desirable.
