Robert Half Supply Management Planner II in Cary, North Carolina

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Supply Management Planner II in Cary, North Carolina. This role involves managing supply processes in a dynamic industry setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating with suppliers, implementing optimal logistics processes, and maintaining supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with suppliers on a regular basis concerning schedule releases and material requirements

• Implement optimal logistics processes within the unit and monitor the logistic performance of suppliers

• Process suppliers' non-conformances and expedite corrective actions

• Maintain an ongoing relationship with assigned suppliers to monitor and improve supplier performance

• Execute inventory plans using system parameters and material replenishment strategies to achieve inventory management and material flow goals

• Negotiate with suppliers to resolve short-term performance problems

• Drive continuous improvement in terms of performance with the supply base

• Arrange agreements with suppliers on appropriate logistics processes

• Resolve shipping and receiving problems to ensure prompt and accurate payments to suppliers

• Provide support services to Supply Management Specialists. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Strong planning and organizational skills

• Experience in payment processing

• Knowledge of materials handling

• Understanding of planning processes

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software

• Ability to provide workstation support

• Excellent phone presence

• Knowledge of commodities and logistics

• Experience in production and negotiation

• Skills in implementation methods

• Ability to execute tasks effectively

• Experience in shipping procedures

• Understanding of suppliers and buying processes

• Ability to handle delinquencies effectively

• Willingness to work onsite

• Knowledge of packaging components and computer hardware

• Ability to take corrective actions when necessary

• Familiarity with containers and release processes
