Job Overview: The Helper- Fire Watch ensures the safety of the work environment by monitoring and preventing fire hazards. This role is crucial in construction sites to protect employees, property and equipment form potential fire risks.

Job Functions:

• Continuous Monitoring : Regularly patrol the work area to identify and mitigate potential fire hazards.

• Fire Prevention : Ensure that all fire safety protocols are adhered to, such as keeping flammable materials away from ignition sources.

• Emergency Response : Be ready to use firefighting equipment to extinguish small fires and call for emergency services if necessary.

• Safety Compliance : Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the safety permit and ensure all safety equipment is operational.

• Communication : Inform workers about potential hazards and emergency procedures, and communicate effectively with site management and emergency responders.

• Documentation : Keep detailed records of fire watch activities, including any incidents or hazards identified and actions taken.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, communicate, and understand verbal and written instructions in English.

• Experience in a similar role as a fire watch and/or construction laborer.

• Understanding fire prevention methods, safety procedures, and the use of firefighting equipment.

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rugged terrain and construction sites.
