SUU BTS Arts Professional Development Partner

Mentor and educational coach for elementary arts teachers in the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program (BTS Arts) within the SUU region. Will also collaborate with a team to plan and implement professional development events for BTS Arts teachers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Visit and coach assigned elementary arts teachers in the SUU region

• Participate in regular BTS Arts planning meetings

• Occasionally attend state BTS Arts meetings

• Other duties as assigned

• Most work will take place visiting elementary schools. Clerical work can take place on campus or working remotely. The employee will come to campus approximately one time per month for meetings. Work will mostly take place between 8 am and 4 pm M-F. Additional work hours as needed.

Proposed Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree

• Utah teaching license

• 2+ years teaching arts at the elementary level

• 5+ years teaching any subject at the elementary level

• Experience with the Jim Knight coaching cycle
