Xavier Catholic Schools Database Manager and Department Administrative Assistant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

**[HOURS: [This is a 40-hour per week, full-time, hourly non-exempt, year-round position in the Xavier Catholic Schools Foundation office, which currently resides at Xavier High School.

[REPORTS TO: [This position reports to the XCSF Executive Director. [[JOB DESCRIPTION: [The Database Manager is responsible for all gift processing, database entries, maintenance, list management, analysis, reporting, cleaning, troubleshooting, and responding to all requests for information as well as the general functioning of the departments data management and office administrative needs.

[The XCSF Database Manager will work alongside staff members to perform (a) gift processing and financial and data management functions of Blackbaud Raisers Edge NXT database (b) bank deposits (c) manipulate data in Excel (d) create and clean lists (e) assist in list assemblies, coding of campaigns, data analysis of fundraising campaigns and events (f) assemble mailings (g) perform other office-related duties as assigned.

Management of gift processing processes and tracking for donor performance.

Disseminate campaign figures and information to department and finance.

Oversee all functions of Raisers Edge database management.

Oversee all major gifts efforts by developing, maintaining, and updating information on new and existing donor prospects as well as producing donor and prospect profiles.

Routinely examine and clean current data records to ensure data accuracy to eliminate duplicate records, inconsistent data, to maintain overall database integrity and the accuracy of data imported and committed in the database.

Create and manage department dashboard for analysis, tracking metrics, fundraising and financial reporting.

Identify data that is to be captured and recorded in Raisers Edge and assist the Campaign Manager and Director in determining the best structure.

Develop MS Excel (and/or Google spreadsheets) and other tools to manipulate data where Raiser's Edge tools are insufficient.

Exploration of new strategies to maximize revenue.

Interact with all necessary departments/divisions (particularly Finance) to analyze and gather report requirements for generating criteria and output.

Assess the organization's current database utilization and develop more effective policies and procedures.

Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure the quality and integrity of the database.

Develop and maintain standard queries and reports.

Perform prospect research requests and documentation.

Welcoming functions of office for all guests whether internal or external with friendly and professional demeanor.

Personable and professional on phone, in person and in written communications with donors.

Manage supplies, organization, and restocking needs of the office.
