Job Description

Perform inspections and maintenance on customer equipment, rental equipment, and corporate vehicles. Conduct mechanical and electrical work on forklifts, including the person brand and Helix brand. Perform diagnostics, breakdowns, and repairs on forklift engines. Execute warranty and recall repairs. Process paperwork, order supplies, participate in online training, and communicate with customers, office staff, and fellow employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, breakdowns, and repairs on forklift engines.

• Execute warranty and recall repairs.

• Process paperwork, order supplies, participate in online training, and communicate with customers, office staff, and fellow employees.

Essential Skills

• Experience in forklift repair

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting

• Preventive maintenance

• Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to supply own set of tools (preferred, but not mandatory)

• Operate power tools, hoists, hydraulic tools, and material handling equipment

• Ability to perform strenuous work, occasionally lifting up to 100 lbs.

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with a small but nice shop. Currently, there are 8 technicians, with plans to expand to 12. Work schedule is 1st shift from 7 AM to 4 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
