Centerburg Local Schools Job Description Custodian Centerburg provides Health, Vision and Dental insurance to FT Employees as well as vacation and sick time. Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 10:30 pm Full and Part-time positions available Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent general education degree. 2. Training and/or experience in custodial area. 3. Demonstrated aptitude or competence in communication, mathematical, mechanical, electrical and reasoning skills for assigned functions. 4. Ability to physically perform all essential functions successfully. 5. Must be able to pass a BCI/FBI Background check as well as a drug test
Reports To: Maintenance/ custodial Supervisor and Building Principal

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to focus. The work conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job title. While performing the duties of the job, the employee frequently works near extreme heat and moving mechanical parts and often is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally is exposed to electrical shock, wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, risk of radiation, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to occasionally loud. According to the district's Exposure Control Plan, the employee is determined to be at-risk to occupational exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials.
Essential Functions: 1. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums assigned hallways, stairs, floors', classrooms, offices, etc. in compliance with OSHA regulations. 2. Keeps building and grounds, including sidewalks, driveways and playgrounds neat, clean, and free of rubbish at all times. 3. Empties trash and trash containers. 4. Scrubs, hoses down, and disinfe
