Employer is looking to fill 170 Forestry Worker positions. This is a temporary, full-time seasonal position from 12/18/2024 to 10/17/2025. Begin/report to work in Central Point, Jackson County, OR 97502 at $25.15/hr. Employer will transport workers daily between report to work address and additional worksites (Tentative Itinerary - continue throughout various counties/areas) within the States of: AZ, CA, CO, ID, MN, MT, NM, NV, OR, SD, UT, WA, WY. Show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone. Random drug/alcohol testing during employment, positive test/refusal to abide equals dismissal. Possible background check post hire at employer's expense. Work will be done with employer provided tools, supplies and equipment without charge or deposit. Job Duties: Tree planting; grubbing/scalping; tubing; hand tree pruning; hand piling; tree thinning/TSI; fuel reduction; bud coping; nursery work such as lift and pack baby trees, thinning, and weeding; under the direction of fire suppression officers or forestry technicians: fight forest fires, perform prescribed burning tasks, fire protection/suppression via clearing/disposing of brush, piling, and digging line/constructing fire breaks & other related Walk substantially (up to 15 miles/day), also stoop, bend while carrying a pack (up to 50lbs) thru rough terrain (non-trail). Forestry Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-4011 (onetonline.org). Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate, possible downtime and/or overtime. Hours: Monday to Friday 6:30AM-3:00PM. 40+ (plus); not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work. Employer will comply with all applicable Federal, State and local employment-related laws and regulations such as wages, breaks, hours worked, and overtime hours (overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. If overtime is worked, wage is paid at 1.5x regular rate per hour worked beyond 40 hours each week.). The worker will be offered a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12-week period. Wage: $15.40/Hour up to possible $30.00/Hour OT $23.10/Hour up to possible $45.00/Hour. Wage may vary based on experience and/or location worked. Will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Wage paid every two weeks. All deductions required by law will be made by the employer as well as any further tax withholding or other reasonable deduction(s) authorized by the worker. Health and Welfare benefits may apply.
