Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Business Systems Analyst II to join our team! In this role you will get to leverage your skills in support of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Tuberculosis elimination mission.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Support surveillance activities including the maintenance, development, and support of the National TB Surveillance System, the National TB Indicators Project, the TB Genotyping Information Management System, and the National Tuberculosis Latent Infection Sentinel Surveillance.

  • Support data management, analysis, analytic tools for a laboratory branch.

  • Support creation and maintenance of SQL databases and aid data queries and analyses.

  • Support research activities including development, enhancement and maintenance of web-based study data and operations management system.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • At least 12 years of combined higher education and experience

  • Strong skills in database management systems (e.g., SQL), programming languages (e.g., Python or R for data analysis), and familiarity with electronic health records systems.

  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau for data visualization.

  • Ability to analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to TB surveillance and control efforts. Proficiency in statistical analysis methods is crucial.

  • Experience working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, researchers, IT specialists, and external partners like state health departments or international organizations involved in TB control efforts.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience working with CDC

  • Public health knowledge, including an understanding of public health principles related to infectious diseases. Familiarity with epidemiological methods, TB surveillance systems, and global TB control strategies.

  • Knowledge about the clinical trial processes including study design considerations specific to infectious diseases research.

  • Experience working with disease surveillance systems, including an understanding of the flow of information from case detection through reporting mechanisms up to national or international aggregating bodies like the CDC or WHO.

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to patient data privacy (e.g., HIPAA)

Salary Range:

$104,200.00 - $182,400.00
