Role:

The Sr. IT Business Services Advisor is a position within the Business Relationship Management (BRM) team. The BRM team’s objective is to strategically partner with the business and share ownership for business strategy and business value results. BRMs also serve as a single point of focus, working to converge functions such as IT, HR, finance, business development, project operations, etc., and one or more lines of business or value streams. This is achieved by stimulating, surfacing, and shaping demand for capabilities and assets, in addition to ensuring that the potential business value from those capabilities and assets are captured, optimized and recognized. The Business Analyst will work closely with the Business Relationship management team in owning business relationships on behalf of the IT organization. Scope of responsibilities will be targeted towards business efficiency and IT focus related to tactical and/or operational initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Partnering with appropriate resources to facilitate the creation of idea documents, business cases, and value plans

  • Ensuring value optimization, communication, and employee outreach

  • Enabling continuous improvement for increased productivity in all areas and people

  • Work with BRM leads on developing material to help promote/evangelize IT services to improve end-user experience

  • Advocate for awareness of IT services and focus on business partner strategic plans.

  • Ensure proactive IT engagements with business partners aiding early problem resolution

  • Engage in design thinking activities with BRM leads and business partners

  • Educate business partners about processes, roles, and capabilities.

  • Measure and communicate business value realized with the business partner periodically.

  • Work with functional teams on value capture and deployment initiative utilizing agile processes and discipline

  • Have the ability to perform business analysis and process improvement activities within an agile environment

  • Facilitate change using positive and collaborative methods and act as an advocate to the IT organization and business partners

  • Set expectations with business partners and effectively leverage governance for a positive business partner experience

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Four (4) year degree from an accredited educational institution

  • Strong IT foundational background and understanding of managing internal/external customer demands

  • Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner vertically within a business line, as well as with leadership and functional teams

  • Ability to capture key business requirements, mature these demands through dialogue, and align these with capabilities

  • Active Change Agent using positive impactful and creative collaborative methods

  • Serve as an advocate for both IT and Business initiatives and actively participate in the planning processes to deliver

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and other collaboration tools

  • Strong verbal and written communication particularly in the translation of Technical and Business terminologies

  • Strong presentation skills and executive presence

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work well in teams with strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Strong relationship building and customer service skills

  • 5+ years of functional experience in a business function or business partner or customer facing role within Information Technology

  • 5+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives

  • US Citizenship required

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Business Relation Management certificate (i.e. CBRM, BRMP)

  • Strong background in Agile Project Management processes/practices

  • Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems major

  • MS or MBA Degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong preference for individual with a USG security clearance at Secret or TS (+) as this enables more in-depth engagement with certain Business programs

Salary Range:

$96,400.00 - $182,400.00
