Join our team as a Fabrication Intern!

Come join our team as a Fabrication Intern! We started with pastries handmade by Lois and Lloyd Martin inside of a garage and we have boomed into a multi-facility company where our many products are produced by machines and shipped domestically and internationally. Talk about a rich history and exciting future!

Summary: As a member of the Martin's Family, t he Fabrication Intern will support to the Fabrication Department. The Fabrication Intern will provide the opportunity to students to gain practical, hands-on experience in both the Fabrication Shop and Engineering Department that will prepare you for the future. You will be exposed to a variety of operations and disciplines including automation, research & development, manufacturing and more. The Fabrication Internship will run through the summer months with flexible start and end dates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties as assigned.

  • Assist in the implementation of CAD model design changes and product enhancements as directed.

  • Work with AutoCADD program.

  • Compose Engineering documents regarding design and layouts.

  • Create cost effective designs that meet necessary requirement specifications.

  • Assist with the implementation of product changes and enhancements.

  • Adheres to and enforces safety, food safety, quality and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.

  • Assist to test, maintain, and modify existing systems to ensure they meet required needs and specifications.

    Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED;

  • Currently attending accredited institution pursuing a degree in Fabrication/Automation .

  • Desire to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Desire to work in a manufacturing environment

    Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Office ; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
