Summary: As a member of the Martin's Family, the Maintenance Trainer makes safety a priority by leading and supporting operations efforts to identify, eliminate and reduce exposures to create a safe and compliant work environment. In being a proactive thinker, the Maintenance Trainer creates training plans for all team members that align with company standards and priorities. This role leverages their knowledge and identifies gaps in processes, new opportunities for development and ways to evolve the Martin's business. As a communicator on a unified team, they will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develops, coordinates and administers evaluations for the Levels of Learning training & development program for new and existing employees.
- Ensures all training & development programs maintain top focus on bakery priorities, including safety, food safety & quality.
- Monitors training environment for new training methods and tools to incorporate in to the training & development program.
- Remains cognizant of changes to subject matter in order to update training materials.
- Controls, develops, maintains, and implements a training schedule in conjunction with Maintenance Management.
- Conducts ongoing training as required in all aspects of maintenance, administration and other related topics.
- Ensures all required training documentation is completed and maintained in a timely and accurate manner, including best practice utilization of the e-learning management system.
- Assists in writing and development of SOP's.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Associates Degree highly preferred;
- Five to ten years' related maintenance experience;
- Previous training background.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of building codes, wiring, ventilation and testing applications within construction industry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Other Qualifications:
- Must be able to travel to facilities outside local area when required.
- Ability to work flexible schedule.
