Patten CAT Store Coordinator, Rental in Champaign, Illinois

Working Hours/Days

7:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday, overtime and Saturdays as needed

Basic Duties

  • Responsible for supervising at least 8 store employees, providing guidance, mentorship, and disciplinary action.

  • Actively engage with customers on the rental counter, offering customers assistance with sales and rental equipment needs.

  • Computer input of rental and sale billings, ordering, stocking and selling of supply items.

  • Loads and unloads equipment, schedule deliveries and pickups.

  • Be available on call 24 hours to address any urgent matters.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate two or more years of relevant work and management experience on the frontline.

  • Knowledge and previous experience dealing with applications of various equipment and sales items.

  • Ability to train and educate customers on machine operation.

  • Strong customer service skills are needed with the ability to exceed customer’s expectations.

  • Exhibit a clear and effective communication style, especially in face-to-face interactions.

  • Proficient in computer skills, including Internet usage, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.

  • Capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position works in a shop/warehouse and inside an office environment. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a period of time; answer telephone calls and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Walking and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required. Noise level in the shop/warehouse is usually moderate to high and moderate to low in an office environment. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
