Aerotek Aerospace Quality Inspector - Weekly Pay in Chandler, Arizona

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements. Provides objective evidence of results. Performs auditing, surveillance, and monitoring. Identifies and documents discrepancies. Segregates and controls nonconforming items. Performs preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance. Conducts product review with customers during product or process verification. Identifies repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiates requests for corrective action. Under limited supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders to verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, and checks special orders. Daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc. Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team.

Hard Skills

  • Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels

  • Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects

  • Review and disposition of all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards

  • Disposition and control of non-conforming product

  • Review and approval of First Articles from suppliers

  • Assists in internal, customer, and third-party audits

  • Computer skills

  • Quality control

  • Documentation

Soft Skills

  • Mentorship

  • Identifies and communicates opportunities to increase inspector productivity

  • Assists with RCCA activities pertaining to Inspection

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Chandler, Arizona.

Work Environment

Indoor air-conditioned work environment. Day Shift - The work shift will be either 6AM – 2:30PM or 7AM – 3:30PM, M-F.
