Director, International Tax

Work Location: Onsite in Chandler, AZ

Job Summary:

This position reports to the Vice President, Tax and is responsible for supporting Array’s international tax strategy, including US International tax planning and reporting. The position will support US international tax planning, global transfer pricing, non-US indirect taxes, non-US compliance and planning projects.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Execute and support Array’s international tax strategy, including US International tax planning and reporting.

International Tax Reporting:

  • Manage the Company’s non-US quarterly ASC 740 income tax reporting process and prepare the foreign interim and annual income tax provisions and related SEC Form 10-K/10-Q disclosures.

  • Responsible to support the tax provision process for multiple entities/jurisdictions at year-end and identifying/evaluating uncertain tax positions and adjustments to valuation allowances.

  • Deep understanding of FTC, GILTI, FDII, and BEAT calculations and compute and analyze the impact to Array’s tax provision and tax return.

  • Gather Array’s International tax reporting data and manage the preparation and review of US international tax forms, including 1118, 5471, 8858, 8975, and 8992, etc.

  • Develop and maintain the local foreign income tax compliance process ensuring tax reporting obligations are met outside the US.

  • Assess corporate structure and requirements under Pillar Two.

  • Monitor pending and newly enacted global tax legislation and model the impact to the company.

  • Execute and perform the SOX control processes and prepare related documentation.

International Tax Planning & Transfer Pricing:

  • Support implementation of global tax planning strategies to reduce the Company’s cash taxes and effective tax rate.

  • Develop strong relationships and interact with functional areas to identify and deploy tax planning initiatives.

  • Research, analyze, and document tax planning positions for the company.

  • Tax modeling of planning scenarios for evaluation.

  • Demonstrated competency with transfer pricing principles, advise on impact to intercompany transactions, and apply best practices to TP documentation and CbCR reporting.

  • Proven experience with navigating permanent establishment rules applicable to foreign operations.

  • Knowledge of non-US indirect tax area of GST, VAT to advise on cross-border commercial transactions

  • Support special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Combination of 12+ years progressive experience in public accounting and in-house corporate tax department of publicly traded company, with minimum of 4+ years of tax experience at a major public accounting firm.

  • Working knowledge of ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes and broad knowledge of US GAAP Accounting, evidenced by recent responsibility for the foreign global income tax provision process.

  • In depth understanding of U.S. federal international tax principles.

  • Knowledge of transfer pricing principles and documentation requirements is required.

  • Knowledge of supply chain optimization and trade compliance, a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance required.

  • Active CPA license. and

  • Master’s degree in Tax, Finance, or Accounting or LLM preferred.
