Job description

  • Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Manager 3 in Chandler Arizona to lead the Environmental Health & Safety Engineering team in Chandler

This role will manage our Environmental Health and Safety Team. This team includes direct reports of EHS Coordinators and EHS Engineers. Manager will be responsible to ensure that we meet all requirements.

The successful candidate:

  • Oversees and manages manufacturing processes, for pneumatics, and OSHA related safety procedures, chemical processes, and environmental.

  • Provides leadership and develop of all safety risks of the process and design the processes such that safety risks are mitigated or eliminated. All processes must meet the minimum standard as outlined in (HOPs) Hazards Operation Standard.

  • Understands and complies with DoD 4145.26 Contractors Safety Manual for Explosives.

  • Manages EH&S engineers and coordinators works closely with the Hazards Analysis and Cross Functional Engineering group in designing and setting up the processes.

  • Manages and presents status on cost, schedule, and performance for all projects within the area; assesses issues and develops mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, and delivery goals.

  • Writes and maintains EH&S manuals and procedures.

  • Provides input to federal, City, and state regulators as required.

  • Ensures EH&S staff maintain training certifications.

  • Provides clear assignments, helps employees connect their efforts to the bigger picture, create an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect and the valuing of differences, and build a culture that motivates employees to their highest level of performance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 9 years’ related experience with Bachelor’s degree or 7 years’ related experience with Master’s degree

  • Active Security Clearance required

  • Excellent communication and collaborations skills with all levels of an organization are a must.

  • NOTE: Non degreed applicant's will not be considered.

  • Only Applicants with active current secret /DoD clearance will be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous EHS management experience.

  • Certifications in Environmental or Health & Safety related programs.

Salary Range: $133,400 - $200,200

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
