Wells Fargo Senior Software Engineer in CHANDLER, Arizona

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will contribute to both strategic and tactical projects, bringing expertise in software development, problem-solving, and leadership.

This team is responsible for the design, development, automated testing, implementation, and adoption of products using agile/scrum to support the Database Compliance & Risk LOB at the enterprise level. These products including asset discovery, inventory management, patch assessment, reporting and compliance/configuration drift etc. The stability, delivery and maintenance of this functionality is essential to the risk framework for the Wells Fargo enterprise database environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Experience with Cloud technologies

  • GitHub experience

  • Experience with containerization related management stacks such as Docker, Swarm or Kubernetes

  • SQL experience

  • Proficient in multiple programming languages like Java or JavaScript.

  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices.

  • Experience with cloud solutions (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with code branching

  • Experience working with Configuration management tools like Ansible

  • Experience working with Microservices architecture

  • NoSQL experience

  • Cloud certification

  • Experience working with event streaming architecture

  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience
