Aerotek Shop Welder in Chandler, Arizona

Job Title: Assembly Positions

Job Description

We are looking for skilled individuals to fill three different assembly positions: Machine Assembler, Finish Machine Assembler, and General Assembler. Candidates should be mechanically inclined, with experience using hand and air-powered tools, and able to read a tape measure. Specific duties and preferred skills vary by position but may include welding, wiring, and operating machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Operate hand and air-powered tools

  • Read and interpret tape measures and blueprints

  • Perform MIG welding, plasma cutting, and metal fabrication

  • Assemble a wide range of machine parts

  • Install engines, hydraulic components, and hoses

  • Apply decals and lights on painted machines

  • Potentially operate machinery such as Band Saws, Brake Presses, and Plate Rollers

  • Willingness to work overtime when needed

Essential Skills

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Knowledge and experience with hand and air-powered tools

  • Ability to read a tape measure

  • 6+ months of assembly experience

  • Mechanical assembly and mechanic experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • MIG welding and plasma cutting experience

  • Metal fabrication experience

  • Experience with wiring and electrical assembly

  • Experience with press brakes, shears, and basic CNCs

  • Ability to read engineering blueprints

  • Understanding of angles, tooling, and cutting

Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a large manufacturing setting with both indoor and outdoor areas. While part of the area is air-conditioned, most of it is not.

The potential exists to work 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, with shifts running from 6 am to 2:30 pm, and the possibility of working from 5 am to 4/5 pm. The attire required includes steel-toed boots, pants/work jeans, and a t-shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, Arizona.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00
