Overall Summary: The Manager of Estimating provides leadership and direction for the Estimating team. In addition, the Manager of Estimating will also analyze job specifications and requirements to determine the optimal approach, engaging other departments as appropriate and will create estimates, letters of quotation and other reports to communicate details around the chosen approach. Supervisory Responsibilities: The Manager of Estimating will provide leadership and direction for the Estimating team. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Lead, train and provide direction to the Estimating team Collaborate with a cross-functional team on developing and maintaining estimating standards Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the department Determine the most cost-efficient layout and optimal utilization of capabilities and capacities. Obtain the best pricing for the customer while devising a low-cost production solution. Produce accurate and timely estimates/LOQs using EFI/Monarch system and/or other system(s) as appropriate; collaborate with the Sales department to clarify project specifications to determine production method efficiencies. Communicate outside services requirements to internal Outsourcing team, including detailed specification and schedule information. Achieve positive end results even with incomplete job specifications or ambiguity. Act as a Subject Matter expert (SME) or Technical Consultant for IWCOs external and internal customers regarding production processes as well as the USPS postal regulations. Establish and maintain a professional relationship with internal and external customers. Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards and disciplinary action. Perform other (or other related) duties as applicable or assigned. Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies: Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills. Ability to communicate and work effectively with employees and all levels of management, along with vendors and external customers. Detail oriented; accountable and reliable Ability to readily adapt to changes in workload and timelines Microsoft Office proficiency; including Word, Windows, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook. Knowledge of EFI/Monarch Software a plus. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with concentration in Graphic Arts or equivalent experience in printing, converting and/or mailing industries. 5-7 years' experience in related field preferred, with at least 3 years as a functional leader. Physical Requirements: Ability to work 8 hours consecutively. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
