Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Chantilly, Virginia. The role encompasses a range of accounting functions, predominantly focusing on full-cycle accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, and billing. The successful candidate will also be required to utilize Microsoft Excel and Dynamics NAV for various other accounting duties.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintain up-to-date and precise records of customer credit

• Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate actions when necessary

• Carry out invoicing, collections, and billing duties consistently and efficiently

• Use Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Utilize Dynamics NAV for various accounting tasks

• Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulations.

• Handle cash activities and cash collections as per organizational policies

• Execute additional accounting tasks as assigned by management. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, must have AR experience with a government contractor

• Proficiency in performing accounting functions and accounts receivable (AR).

• Proven experience in billing functions and cash activity.

• Expertise in cash collections and collections processes.

• Familiarity with Dynamics NAV software.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Willingness to continue learning and improving accounting skills.
