The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a skilled Data Center Infrastructure Architect in support of the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program. The successful candidate will be an experienced and forward-thinking Data Center Infrastructure Architect to lead the design and implementation of our next-generation data center solutions. The ideal candidate responsibilities will include the design and architect scalable, resilient, and efficient data center infrastructure solutions while developing and maintaining data center technology roadmaps and reference architectures. This role requires a deep understanding of networking and IT infrastructure.
On the EITaaS program, CACI will deliver enhanced capabilities and services to implement and operate an enterprise SIPR ITSM solution, enterprise service desk, endpoint management and security solution, as well as CONUS/OCONUS field support and life cycle support for end user devices to enable the DAF to transition focus from IT operations to mission operations.
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of data center strategies on the NIPR and SIPR network to meet DAF mission requirement. Manage the entire infrastructure lifecycle, from request to deployment while tracking all relevant SLA/SLRs and provide reports as required.

Collaborate with business units and IT teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance data center capabilities and efficiency
Create detailed technical specifications, diagrams, and documentation for data center projects
Ensure data center designs meet security, compliance, and performance requirements
Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of complex data center projects
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Work directly with customer Data Center POC’s to ensure all documentation is submitted following DAF policy and Procedures.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, security requirements, and best practices
Create cable plant, rack elevations, power and HVAC documentation
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data center design and management Collaborate with DAF enterprise and program security teams to ensure requirements are met within allotted timeframes.
Communicate effectively and collaboratively with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
Qualifications:
Required:
Must have Active Secret Clearance.
DoD 8140 compliance; CDCP, CDCS, CCNA, CCIE, MCSE) are highly desirable
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and 7+ years of relevant experience.
Deep knowledge of data center technologies, including compute, storage, networking, and virtualization
Experience with software-defined data center (SDDC) concepts and technologies.
Strong understanding of data center facilities, including power, cooling, and space planning.
Familiarity with cloud technologies and hybrid infrastructure models.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Desired:
Experience with containerization and microservices architectures.
Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in data center optimization.
Understanding of edge computing and distributed data center architectures
Experience with green IT practices and energy-efficient data center designs

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$102,900 - $216,200
