Jacobs Devops Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia

Knack Works is seeking a DevOps Engineer with a passion for engineering automated solutions to join the team on-site in Northern Virginia.

  • Seamlessly implement technical architectures into on-prem and cloud infrastructure, including design, maintenance, support, and planning

  • Responsible for identifying the most optimal cloud-based and on-prem solutions for existing and emerging use cases

  • Ensure the on-prem and cloud solution meets availability, accessibility, scalability, and cost-based needs

  • Architect and implement on-prem and cloud security features to include ensuring interfacing with identity services and the proper processing of sensitive data from a protection, encryption, transport, storage, access, and auditing standpoint

  • Work through the development life-cycle with on-prem and cloud technologies, including CI/CD releases

  • Must be willing to work on-site in Northern Virginia

  • BA/BS Business Information Technology, BA/BS Computer Science, or BA/BS Computer Engineering (or equivalent years of work experience)

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph

  • 2-5 years relevant technical experience

  • Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes

  • Experience automating tasks using tools such as Bash, Python, and Go

  • Experience with CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) frameworks

  • Experience with advanced orchestration of on-prem and cloud platforms

  • Proficiency within a variety of Linux-based environments.

  • Ability to identify complex issues, perform triage, initial troubleshooting, and escalation if necessary.

  • Proficiency with Git, Vsphere, AWS, Rocky Linux, STIGs, a plus
