Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking Experienced Carpenter/Painter to support our business in Chantilly, VA . This organization supports mission critical government programs.

Selected candidate will be working with a multi-disciplinary team to address facilities and construction needs quickly and effectively for a U.S. Government customer at multiple locations throughout Northern Virginia. Candidate can expect to travel up to 30% of the time throughout the region. Work will be taking place during 1st shift hours Monday - Friday from 6:00a.m. – 2:30p.m.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Utilize general knowledge of building codes, regulations and safety procedures

  • Construct commercial office space by providing overall O&M capabilities, with limited supervision

  • Basic framing/ drywall installation and finishing

  • Suspended ceiling installation/repairs

  • Carpet removal and installation including cove base

  • Repair and maintain plant and office facilities equipment and demonstrates advanced skill level in these areas

  • Paint walls

  • Provide guidance to less experienced employees

  • Review customer requirements and may evaluate product capabilities, under general guidance

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to construct, renovate and repair facilities and equipment

  • Frequent reaching above shoulder level, climbing, kneeling, bending, and continuous standing

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph Post-Start is required.

Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 2+ years of construction experience

• A valid driver’s license

• Capable of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 35lbs

• Customer support or service experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with a Government customer

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Relocation:

Shift:

This position is first shift

Monday - Friday from 6:00a.m. – 2:30p.m. or 4- 10 hour days Monday – Thursday or Tuesday - Friday.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $61,200 - $75,000
