Cimarron is seeking anHVAC Technicianto support a large defense contractor in Chantilly, VA.

Key Duties:

• Support PMs (preventive maintenance) of AHUs (air handling units), FPTDs (fan power terminal devices), and VAVs (variable air volume).
• Respond to hot/cold calls and perform repairs as needed.
• Utilize HVAC codes, regulations, and safety procedures to include rough-in and layout, perform preventive maintenance on equipment, and troubleshoot more complex problems.
• Useblueprints or design specifications to install or repair HVAC systems.
• Connectsystems to fuel and water supply lines, air ducts, and other components.
• Installelectrical wiring and controls, and testfor proper operation.
• Inspectand maintainHVAC systems.
• Resolveproblems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Demonstrate an understanding of customer service concepts (i.e., courteous, punctual, honest, etc.).
• Assist other trades as needed.
• Lift and carry up to 35 lbs., climb ladders, and walk on grid platforms and rooftops.
• Frequently climb, kneel, lift, pull,push, bend, walk, and stand.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with CI polygraph clearance post-hire.
• 2 or more years of HVAC experience.
• Current valid driver's license.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to be flexible and respond to dynamic customer needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools to construct, renovate, maintain, and repair facilities and equipment.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Desired Skills, Experience, or Education:

• Active Secret clearance or higher.
