Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a talented Power Apps Developer/Product Owner to join our team supporting the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and managing Power Apps solutions, as well as a deep understanding of product ownership principles and practices. This position plays a critical role in delivering innovative and user-friendly applications to enhance BSEE's operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
The Power Apps Developer/Product Owner will be responsible for the development, deployment, and management of Power Apps solutions, as well as overseeing the product lifecycle and ensuring alignment with BSEE's business requirements. The primary responsibilities include:
• Design, develop, and implement Power Apps solutions to automate business processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications and user stories.
• Manage the product backlog, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value and technical feasibility.
• Facilitate product planning and roadmap development, ensuring alignment with BSEE's strategic goals.
• Conduct user acceptance testing and ensure the quality and usability of Power Apps solutions.
• Provide training and support to end-users, promoting adoption and effective utilization of the developed applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Power Apps features, best practices, and industry trends, continuously improving and evolving the solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and subject matter experts, to ensure seamless integration with existing systems and data sources.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Power Apps development or a similar low-code/no-code platform.
• Proven experience in product ownership, agile methodologies, and user-centered design principles.
• Certification in Power Apps development or related Microsoft certifications is highly desirable.
• Experience working with government agencies or in a regulated industry is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Proficient in Power Apps development, including canvas apps, model-driven apps, and Power Automate (Microsoft Flow).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data integration, and database concepts.
• Expertise in requirements gathering, user experience design, and iterative development processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of agile project management methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as Microsoft Azure or Office 365.
Desired Skills and Competencies:
• Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• Knowledge of web development technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools for application deployment and testing.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and security requirements in the government or energy sector.
• Certification in project management or product management frameworks, such as PMP or CSPO.
• Experience with other Microsoft technologies, such as SharePoint, Dynamics 365, or Azure Functions.
